Silly question from a non-dancer, but why aren’t pointe shoes created to be more flexible in the first place?

Love it I want to order these pointe shoes but they don’t have like elastics or ribbons to tie around like they are exactly like your is it still comfortable and strong?

Instead of taping the bottom of the shoe you don't cut out (attached to the flank) would it not be better to bend & tape it underneath? Or would it not feel good on your foot? I love watching these type of shorts 😊

Pointe shoes are so beautiful and shiny and Satiny. If only there was a way to take all that satin and take it and make it back into one large fabric piece pristine and perfect because the waste of such a beautiful fabric is an Abomination and that is one reason why I hate ballet

I find the Vaganova technique suited to romantic ballet, the Balanchine technique suited to both classical and modern ballet. In V. the arms are closer and more liquid, in B. the arms take up more space and are more explosive. The presence/absence of epaulement fits in with this distinction.

I am about to start pointe but before I decided I really wanted to do it I bought a Amazon pointe shoe so wish me luck of course if I actually end up liking it I’ll buy real pointe shoes

FOR SOME PEOPLE WHO DONT UNDERSTAND Personally I don’t do that much breakage but some people want them to be stretchier that they already are so they break the layers hope you understand 😂
